WHAT IS CDOE PANJAB UNIVERSITY?

All degrees awarded are recognized by the UGC's Distance Education Bureau (DEB) and are equivalent to degrees from regular Panjab University departments, following the same syllabus and examination pattern.

CDOE admission is open to:

  • New applicants (Indian nationals across the country, and eligible foreign nationals/dependents with an Eligibility Certificate)

  • Students seeking a dual degree (regular + distance, or two distance programmes together)

  • Continuing/old students from Panjab University or affiliated colleges/universities

  • Reappear/compartment case candidates

  • Gap year students

  • Candidates appearing for improvement

HOW TO APPLY: ONLINE ADMISSION PROCESS

  1. Create a UGC-DEB Unique ID (Distance Education Bureau) using your own email, phone number, and Aadhaar number — or generate one via your ABC ID.

  2. Visit the official admission portal: https://cdoeadmissions.puexam.in/

  3. Enter your DEB Unique ID.

  4. Select your programme (UG/PG) and fill out the complete Admission-cum-Examination form.

  5. Submit the form and note your login ID and password.

  6. Log in again and pay the fee via Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or a Post Office fee challan (UPI and other payment apps are not recommended due to confirmation issues).

  7. After payment, log in again to upload your scanned photograph and signature to complete the process.

  8. Take a printout of the completed form.

  9. Submit the printout with original documents for verification at CDOE, Room No. 107, or by registered post before 1st September 2026.

  10. Documents required: marksheet of qualifying exam, migration certificate (if applicable), character certificate, reserved category certificate (if applicable), and any documents supporting fee concession claims.

FEE, REFUND & OTHER KEY POLICIES

Fee for odd semesters (I/III/V) is paid at admission; even semester (II/IV/VI) fee is paid separately around February/March 2027.

Refunds follow the UGC four-tier fee refund policy - up to 100% if withdrawn 15+ days before the last admission date, scaling down to 0% after 30 days.

A 5% marks concession in eligibility is available for SC/ST/BC/PWD candidates as per Panjab University rules.

75% attendance is mandatory in Personal Contact Programmes (PCPs), 80% for B.Ed.
