ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Educational Qualification: Must have passed 12th class (10+2) with Punjabi as a compulsory/elective subject at matric level.
- Age Limit (as on 01.01.2026):

- General: 18–27 years
- SC/BC of Punjab: Up to 32 years
- Ex-servicemen: Up to 40 years
- Govt Employees: Up to 45 years
PHYSICAL STANDARDS
- For Warder (Male):
- Height: Minimum 5’7” (5’4.5” for Dogra/Gurkha)
- Chest: 33” (unexpanded), 34.5” (expanded)
- For Matron (Female):
- Height: Minimum 5’3”
- Weight: Minimum 50 kg
SELECTION PROCESS
The recruitment process will consist of four stages:
- Written Exam (CBT) – 120 MCQs, 120 marks, negative marking (0.25 per wrong answer).
- Physical Measurement Test (PMT) – Height, chest, and weight verification.
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET) – As per Punjab Jail Department norms.
- Document Verification & Medical Exam.

SALARY & PAY SCALE
Pay Scale: Rs. 19,900 – Rs. 63,200 (Level 2, 7th CPC)
Minimum Pay: Rs. 19,900 per month
Allowances: As per Punjab Government rules
