PUTHAT 2026 allows admission into the following 4-year undergraduate programs:
1. Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (BHMCT)
2. Bachelor of Tourism and Travel Management (BTTM)
TOTAL SEATS
For Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (Four Year Programme) : 60 + 06 NRI + 15 Foreign National = Total 81 Seats
For Bachelor of Tourism and Travel Management : 30 + 03 NRI + 08 Foreign National = Total 41 Seats
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
- Candidates must have passed 10+2 (or equivalent) from a recognized board.
- Minimum marks required:
- General category: 50%
- SC/ST/BC/PwD: 45%
- English must be a compulsory subject in 10+2.
PUTHAT 2026 EXAM PATTERN & SYLLABUS
The exam duration is 90 minutes, and it consists of 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs). The medium of examination shall be ENGLISH only. There shall be negative marking i.e., 25% marks will be deducted for every wrong answer

3. Reasoning Ability - 20 Question
4. Hospitality Industry Awareness - 30 Question
Marking Scheme:
- Correct Answer: +1 mark
- Wrong Answer: -0.25 marks (Negative Marking)
- Unattempted Question: No marks deducted
