Explanation
India recently signed a Social Security Agreement (SSA) with Brazil to protect the rights of detached workers. The agreement aims to provide social security cover to Indian workers employed in Brazil and Brazilian workers employed in India, by enabling them to access social security benefits in both countries. The SSA is expected to boost trade and investment flows between India and Brazil, and promote greater economic cooperation and integration between the two countries. The agreement was signed in November 2020 during a virtual summit between the leaders of India and Brazil.
